A Californian police officer has won people!s hearts all over the country after helping out an old man who was forced out of a local Bank of America.
Officer Robert Josett went to the assistance of the staff of the bank after they sought his help to deal with an infuriated 92 year old man. For sure he did not know what he was expected to find upon his arrival at the bank.
He could have solved the problem within minutes, considering the old man`s age, but what he did was an act of kindness and utmost respect.
There was a phone call for the Montebello Police Department about a tedious client. The first to get to the scene was officer Robert Josett. Entering the bank he saw a 92-year old man who was pretty upset and enraged.
There was quiet a turmoil as the police officer was getting closer to the agitated client. The only thing the man wanted to do was to withdraw money from his account.
The problem was that his ID card was obsolete and no one at the bank was able to help him.
The bank couldn`t operate on the old man`s demand to withdraw his money because of a lack of proper identification.
The old man was discontented as he could not figure out what was going on.
As soon as the officer arrived there and got acquainted with what was going on , he thought of doing something pretty unusual.
He already knew he could have just accompanied the elderly man outside the building, but he decided to act out of common.
He took the old man to the Department of Motor and Vehicles and assisted him in getting a new license. But that was not all.
Officer Josett helped him withdraw money before the closing of the bank.
The Montebello Police Department was under deliberation after having posted a photo of the officer and the old man on Facebook which was shared 38,000 times with many glorifying comments from all over the world.
“ This Officer is a Saint!” was someone`s comment on the police department`s Facebook post.
“All this Little Grampa wants is to keep his independence. And the officer helped him in a dignified manner. Good Job Officer!”
“We often hear only bad news of officers, we can`t judge everyone the same,” another agreed.
“Officer Robert Josett thank you so much for helping this elderly man, it could have been my father or grandfather. God bless you…and thank you for your service.”

ReplyDeletePolice officers are paid by us the taxpayers! On their police vehicles is the motto "To protect and serve" and that is exactly what this officer did and he should be applauded!!! It would be wonderful if policemen across the country followed this officers example of protecting and serving instead of harassment and intimidation which seems to be the norm over the last few decades!! Do you want a better relationship with the taxpayers? Then try doing things like this officer did and watch the relationship change for the better over night!

The news press only seems to print the negative and false information , there are still good people in our Country . Wish i could say the same about our Congressman .
